Alice in Chains' fourth full-length album (or sixth studio recording, if you count Sap and Jar of Flies) is currently in pre-production. The album's title and release date have not yet been revealed, nor is it known if a title and release date have even been decided on. It will be the first studio album Alice in Chains have released since their 1996 disbandment and 2006 reformation.

| - Alice in Chains' fourth full-length album (or sixth studio recording, if you count Sap and Jar of Flies) is currently in pre-production. The album's title and release date have not yet been revealed, nor is it known if a title and release date have even been decided on. It will be the first studio album Alice in Chains have released since their 1996 disbandment and 2006 reformation. Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez and Sean Kinney are the only former Alice in Chains members peforming on the album, as their original singer Layne Staley unexpectedly died of a apparent heroin/cocaine overdose in April 2002. There has been no word on whether William DuVall, who has been touring with the band as his replacement, will record it.
