Description
  • Tsuna has failed another major test while Gokudera passes but assults the teacher. The teacher called for expolusion of them both, but the principal thought it was going to far. So, the boys have to find a missing 15-year-old time caspul before sundown or be expelled.
  • Reborn goes to Japan to begin tutoring Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada.
  • Yamamoto is the star of the baseball team and has befriended Tsuna. Yamamoto lets Tsuna on his team when they play sports even though Tsuna stinks. Although, when Yamamoto breaks his arm, he thinks there is no reason to live if he can't play baseball; so he attempts suicide. Tsuna has to try and talk him out of it.
  • A baby hitman comes to Japan to kill Reborn.
  • Tsuna meets a new transfer student named Hayato Gokudera. Gokudera seems to not like Tsuna and gives him threatening looks. He also knows about Tsuna becoming the 10 Boss and challenges him for the title.
  • Commonly known as Dying Will Bullet Unusable, the chapter focuses on a school volleyball game that Tsuna has to play in because everyone thinks he's strong. Tsuna plays volleyball with Takeshi Yamamoto.
  • Tsuna's crush, Kyoko Sasawaga, comes over for a visit. Tsuna, who's very nervous, is excited about her coming. When she comes over, Reborn convinced her to play Russian Roulette. Little to Tsuna or Kyoko's knowledge, the bullet was replaced with a Dying Will Bullet, and Kyoko was the first to play.

The first volume was released on October 4, 2004. The manga was later on developed into an anime.
