Djeko Vasilyev was born in Novosevensk, but moved to Noble City after turning eighteen in 1997 in order to be able to attend higher education. He attended the Nobel University, which later became the Blackburn University (Noble City campus). Later, he became a professor there, teaching Chemical Physics; Chemistry and Chemical Biology; and Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Studies. He met Nicholas Sheraldin at the Blackburn University, and befriended him. Finding his political views similar to Sheraldin's, he was drawn into politics and activism. Eventually, he joined Nicholas's new Green Party, though this caused small amounts of controversy at Blackburn University. He is also a musician. He is a member of the Lovian progressive/electronic group Hyperbola, generally functioning as guitarist. He is currently a member of the Sylvania State Council, with the role of Speaker of the Council (the first Speaker since the re-establishment of the council in early 2013).
