Young, Smart, and charismatic, Gwen Stacy was known to be a science geek to everyone and always made Straight A's. Before entering High school, Gwen became close friends with a fellow Science geek Peter Parker which she had in common with and did homework together and began to have a crush on peter and peter has one on Gwen.
Life in Midtown High
Gwen then attended Midtown High School with her best friends Peter, Eddie Brock, and Harry Osborn. Gwen was known as a brilliant Student, She usually expresses her true feelings, and she can even be short-tampered sometimes. Like when she sees Peter getting picked on by a jock rivalry Flash Thompson and stands up to him. Which shows that Gwen really cares for Peter. She got an internship at the laboratory of Curt Connors at the Oscorp Tower along with Peter where they joined Eddie Brock, Martha Connors and other Oscorp Interns. And right after the daily bugle bombing incident, Gwen went there to see if Peter was okay and alive but he was seen hugging another girl with red hair. During lunch, Gwen sat down with Peter and Harry while Peter tries to get a word out of him. Harry talks about his father and the explosion that happend back at Oscorp last night, they look everywhere through the debris but his body wasn't found. He soon leaves the lunch room to be alone.
Peter on the other hand still tried to talk to her by her surprise. She shyly ask him if he could study with her at the public library by tomorrow in which Peter happily accepts but later on, Peter calls her and blows off the study date for the daily bugle story with this Mj girl, this was the only time she would ever really be against Peter. Later at a mall foodcourt. Mary Jane spots Gwen and sat down beside her. Mary introduces herself and told her that Peter speaks alot about her. She then admitted her feelings for Peter to Mary Jane and asked Mj to help her. Mary Jane told her if she liked him as much as she said, then she should tell him, she also said as smart as Peter was he was "still just a guy". She then learn of Peter's secret identity as Spider-Man and the two started dating every since then. Although Peter and Gwen loved eachother very much, his secret identity will prove too be a heavy burden later on in their relationship.
