| - Tom notices that Cain has disappeared and takes the opportunity to untie Sadie and himself. Sadie is unable to move her legs and begs Tom not to leave her. He stops a car which is coming towards them but instantly regrets it when Cain is in the driver's seat. Cain shoves Tom and Sadie into the new car and speeds away. Elsewhere, the Dingles and Kings are still waiting at Home Farm; with Carl and Chas finding their relationship deteriorating as the situation continues to escalate. Debbie fears that Cain will kill Sadie after she told him about Jasmine's abortion. The police find Cain's old BMW in flames and the news reaches Home Farm just as the ransom money arrives. Meanwhile, Cain's car is being chased by police cars, with a helicopter also in pursuit. He frantically escapes into the woods towards a quarry. Armed police and sniffer dogs arrive at the quarry in a bid to find Cain. Zak and Matthew race to the quarry with the police just in time to see the vehicle fly off the edge and violently hit the water below. Will any survivors emerge? The crash is narrated through the intercom to Carl, Chas, Debbie and Edna. The diving officers go into the lake but find the car empty. Cain, wearing a officer's uniform with a stolen police car and a shotgun, enters a barn and finds Sadie trying to escape. Cain blames Sadie for why Tom is still alive. Tom begins to insult Cain, who is now being held at gunpoint. In order to get the £2.5million escorted from Tom, Cain decides to shoot Sadie. Sadie lies unconscious and is bleeding heavily. Tom fears she is dead. Carl begins to get angry and comes close to hitting Chas. Tom calls and tells Carl where Chas is to take the money. Cain knocks Tom unconscious by bludgeoneing him with the gun. Chas and Carl loads some bags with cash and gives her the keys to Jimmy's car. Debbie insist on going with her. Zak and Matthew arrive back from the quarry. Chas tells Debbie to wait by the car as she gives Cain the money. Debbie rushes over as Chas questions if he killed Sadie. Debbie realizes that her "killer" father chose Sadie over herself. Debbie is desperate for to find Charity and be a proper family instead of doing a runner with Sadie. Cain says goodbye to Debbie and tells her not to turn out a criminal the way he has. DI Poulton informs Carl and Matthew that Tom has been found. Cain finds a women on the road and she kindly offers to take a package to the post office. Cain tells her it's addressed to Debbie and it contains money. Carl and Matthew arrive at the barn to find Tom with the paramedics and Sadie's body has gone missing. Armed police have secured the barn. The police find out the blood was fake. Cain climbs into another car where Sadie is in the passenger side. Debbie explains what happened to Lisa, Sam and Shadrach. Zak receives a call from Sadie stating she is still alive and Cain is with her. Tom is in the back of an ambulance being taken to hospital and Carl tries to reassure him that the blood is fake. Cain and Sadie drive to an airfield in Lancashire. Shadrach feels for Debbie not having both her parents at home any more. Cain and Sadie arrive at an airfield. Cain takes the money and boards a private jet to Amsterdam, leaving Sadie behind. Tom is back home safe and realizes that Jimmy doesn't know anything about what Cain has done to them, however they decide not to tell him. Cain re-explains the ways he would have killed Sadie and expresses his true feelings about her. Cain climbs into the plane as it prepares for take off and tosses the car keys to Sadie. Sadie watches in disbelief as the plane takes off. Zak confides in Lisa, thinking he isn't going to see Cain again. Outside, Debbie listens to a voicemail from Cain. The plane flies low over the village as Lisa, Chas, Debbie, Zak and Sam watch over. Cain takes one last look at the village as the plane flies over.
