George Shaw (c.1821 - August 1895) was a politician in the City of London. Shaw was a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers, and became Master of the company in 1878. He was largely responsible for the introduction of the Register of Plumbers in 1886. From 1868 until his death he was a member of the Common Council of the City of London, representing Faringdon Within ward. He was chairman of the City Commissioners of Sewers and was Chief Commoner in 1880.

He was a member of council of the the City and Guilds Institute and represented the City on the Association of Municipal Corporations. From 1885 he was one of the City's nominees to the Metropolitan Board of Works. When the Metropolitan Board was abolished in 1889, Shaw stood for election to the successor London County Council with the support of the City of London Conservative Association, but failed to be win a seat.
