Pliaane was literally Eniaman for firer, meaning "one who fires" or brings fire (upon a target). abstract	The Pliaane-class cruiser, or Pliaane-repaqi kruzhar in Eniaman, was the largest capital ship of the Eniam Air-Space Corps during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Pliaane was literally Eniaman for firer, meaning "one who fires" or brings fire (upon a target). Each capital ship was 650 meters long, 125 meters wide and tall without the wings, and had a glossy black color. The cruisers were capable of operating in atmospheres, and had several wings and fins jutting out from their body. Each wing had a row of repulsorcoils inside, and most of them had gun turrets for weapons spread. The main body of a Pliaane-class cruiser was tube-shaped, except in the front, the top angled down sharply as the bottom angled up slightly to make the front end one third of the vessel's height above the bottom. In the back, four central engines arranged 2 by 2 supported by four outside engines, each between two central engines. The starships were designed mainly by Eniam Nationalized Engineering and showed many of the organization's design traits. They could be crewed by many different species. Although they were normally the biggest in the Eniam fleet, they were dwarfed by the Mon Calamari Star Cruisers in the Battle of Eniam, during which they also served as escort frigates to larger New Republic craft.
