Aangezien het niet op de wereld kaart te vinden is, gaan spelers er van uit dat het niet tot Gielinor behoort. Deze hypothese spreekt echter het verhaal van de Queen of Snow tegen, waarbij Guthix de wereld in balans wilde hebben. Het schijnt er nog vaak te sneeuwen, maar toch groeien er verschillende bomen. Waarschijnlijk zijn het speciale bomen die opgewassen zijn tegen de kou. Hoewel de Snow imp het Land of Snow de koudste plek noemde, blijkt er toch water te stromen dat niet bevriest. Het Land of Snow wordt geregeerd door de Queen of Snow. De Queen of Snow is getrouwd met de Santa Claus wat hem waarschijnlijk de koning van het land maakt. Samen hebben ze een zoon gekregen genaamd Jack Frost, wat hem de wettige eigenaar maakt op de troon, aangezien er een monarchie heerst. Echter heeft Jack Frost kwade bedoelingen. In het land leven verschillende Snow imps en een ras genaamd de Ice sprite, het ras van de Queen of Snow. Ook leven er mensen in het land, zoals de Santa Claus en Ebenezer Scourge. Het land is een grote bron van sneeuw, waardoor veel spelers sneeuw kunnen verzamelen. Door het verzamelen van sneeuw zal de speler automatisch een sneeuwbal maken die gebruikt kan worden om tegen een andere speler of NPC aan te gooien. Deze zullen echter geen schade aanbrengen aan andere spelers en veel spelers gebruiken de sneeuw om een sneeuwballen gevecht te organiseren. De Land of the Snow is alleen toegankelijk tijdens de 2009-, 2007 Christmas event en de Myths of the White Lands quest. Tijdens de evenementen was het land toegankelijk door het betreden van de Kerst kast of de speciale portal.
