Ryūshiton allows the user to split basic elemental nature transformations by knowing what atoms it consists of. An example of this would if a shinobi would use Water Release: Gunshot at the shinobi with Ryūshiton then if the shinobi with Ryūshiton know that water consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom then the user will be allowed to revert the water to two hydrogen one oxygen. In terms of advance nature releases such as Blaze Release or even Dust Release it will be split back into the basic elemental natures that it consists of. As one's skill in Ryūshiton waxed strong, he or she becomes able to use Ryūshiton techniques by merely thinking the words, rather than saying them. As explained by Kisho, sound itself has no control over the techniques, it is the thought that the user focuses on that makes the difference. Most Ryūshiton users, however, continued to speak words aloud, ensuring that stray thoughts did not disrupt the techniques they use.
