The Gardening Action Research Team will increase the sustainability of the campus food systems by: (1) giving students the opportunity to learn ecological horticulture skills, (2) growing food and marketing it at the local student run Kresge food co-op, (3) assisting all campus gardens, (4) creating a demonstration garden site in tandem with the Mushroom and Permaculture ARTs, and (5) working towards lasting institutional changes at UCSC and beyond.
