| - Fūinjutsu (封印術, Literally meaning: Sealing Techniques) are a type of jutsu that seal objects, living beings, chakra, along with a wide variety of other things within another object. Fūinjutsu can also be used to restrict movement or unseal objects either from within something or someone. Shenron is considered a God when it comes to fūinjutsu, creating various new techniques that seem to keep becoming more and more powerful. But no matter how powerful his seal may be, Shenron has to always deal with shinobi unsealing his fūinjutsu. Shenron would not mind it if it were Fūinjutsu masters like himself that were unsealing his techniques but when shinobi who have no business of unsealing such high-levelled techniques come in and undo them, that truly angers Shenron. So Shenron would develop a seal, that would make even the weakest of seals unsealable, a seal that protects fūinjutsu from being destroyed humongous reserves or advanced chakra manipulation, a seal that can protect barriers from being shattered, a seal known as Goyōgai.
* Placement:Once the seal was created, Shenron needed to decide where/how he was going to place this seal alongside his regular fūinjutsu. Initially the seal needed to be place separately, placing seal that will affect his opponent first and Goyōgai right after. The problem with this was that Shenron need to place the Goyōgai seal on the exact same location as the first seal. While even with his long-distance fūinjutsu placement abilities this was still problematic. Shenron would force himself to learn how to apply the Goyōgai along with his other seals. After years of struggling Shenron would place learn how to this seal along with his other seals in one placement. This took years of training a requires the utmost control and concentration. Sadly when it comes to barriers, Shenron still need to place the seal after he create a barrier.
* Five Gate System: Once someone tries to undo a seal or shatter a barrier, the Five Gate System will take into effect. The five gate system is what the Goyōgai truly is. It is composed of five distinct gates,The Gate of Denial, The Gate of Anger, The Gate of Bargaining, The Gate of Depression, and The Gate of Acceptance. These five gates vary in power and physical and mental effect. Throughout the years only one man has been able to break out of Goyōgai's harsh abilities, Shenron's sensei Magai.
* The Gate of Denial: The first gate of the Five Gate system, the Denial Gate. When the opponents tries to unseal one of Shenron's fūinjutsu the first gate shall appear. In this first gate, their unsealing will seem successful as the expected, all the effects they hoped happen will seem to be true. But in reality, they are in a real illusion, unlike genjutsu, where the user must manipulate their own chakra to create an illusion, the seal will use the target's chakra to create this illusion. Also unlike genjutsu the user is not actually in a complete illusion, the user would still be fighting the real Shenron facing and creating real things but whatever seal they tried to remove earlier would be masked, believing it is no longer there. Many fail to believe the seal or barrier is truly gone which is why the first gate is recognized as the Gate of Denial.
* The Gate of Anger:The second gate, the Anger Gate. To many this is the most powerful gate due to the fact that most don't get past this gate. This gate is not very complex but its mental effect on his opponent truly leaves them scarred at least to most. This Gate has a "barrier" of Yin-Yang Release chakra on it, with it Shenron can nullify any form of ninjutsu or chakra, negating any seal removers or immense chakra exertions. This is very problematic for most people due to the fact most lack knowledge of the existence of Yin-Yang Release and even less have it. Most struggle to pass this because they truly lack the skill. This will cause people to get angry and question whether they are able to even handle Shenron's skill. As stated before, it leaves mental effect on his opponent which aids the next if this this one is passed.
* The Gate of Bargaining:The third gate, the Bargaining Gate. This gate automatically appears once the second gate opens. Though many have not seen this gate, it seems to vary depending the target. At this gate the target, the target must pay a fee to open the gate but there is no price. The target must determine on their own what is the fee based on the knowledge they have gathered or through just guessing but if the target does not pay the sufficient amount, another seal within the seal (with same protection) will activate closing all of their tenketsu points....permanently within a minute. Using the chakra in their body, the seal will also (without the knowledge of the user) fuel the user with the amount of the fee. From the people who have gotten passed the barrier, they have given up body parts, to tool, to even their sanity and once even their life.
* The Gate of Depression: The fourth gate, Depression Gate. (Undecided)
* The Gate of Acceptance:The fifth gate, Acceptance Gate. Only one has gotten passed this and it is Magai. Agreeing with Shenron to never tell anyone of its content. Though according to rumor, this Gate causes the whole process to restart, removing any knowledge of the previous gates and cause the them to close once again. Another rumor is that when they reach this it will drain the target of all their chakra before they even have a chance to react. While truly it's a combination of both. Once the seal is activated, the fifth gate is so powerful that even when the first gate is closed the fifth gate would already be absorbing chakra from his opponent, and when each gates opens it absorbs more a more chakra. With each gate opens the rate at which it absorbs increase by two times. And once opponents gets the the fifth gates, the seal will remove all knowledge/memory of the Goyōgai and reconstruct the other gates.
