Charles Dana Gibson was a noted artist from Bar Harbor, Maine, during the early 1900s. He married a southern model named Irene Langhorne whom he used in almost all of his work. Irene was known for her exceptional beauty. In 1967, Henry Collins once compared Victoria Winters to a Gibson girl.
