- Meanwhile, not too far a distance from Zarik's ship, The King of Babylon and his son Balbera were sailing to Europe. However, while his father was down in the lower decks working on something, Balbera falls overboard. His fall and shouts were not heard over the roar of the ocean storm. Balbera falls unconscious as the waters drag him below. Balbera floats back up in the morning, when The Prince and Zarik are dueling again. Zarik spots the young boy in the ocean and rushes to get a rope. The Prince recklessly ties the rope around his waste, tells Zarik to hold on to it, and jumps into the water. He drags Balbera back up onto the deck. They carry the boy to the cabin and let him rest for a while. Balbera wakes up hours later and goes to the deck. The Prince and Zarik are practicing again, and Balbera foolishly mistakes The Prince for a pirate. He attempts to tackle the vagabond onto the deck, but The Prince dodges out of the way. Pinning him by the throat against the cabin wall, The Prince threatens Balbera to never do that again. After the tense moment, the trio introduced themselves. Balbera, seeing how powerful The Prince and Zarik both were at swordsmanship, wanted to boast. He knew not many princes were so great at swordplay, and proclaimed he was the son of The King of Babylon's Army Commander. The Prince then challenges Balbera to a duel, and, quite obviously, Balbera loses, making The Prince question who this young man really is. Balbera asks if he could come along with The Prince and Zarik on their trek, seeing as he has nowhere to go.
