Midnight's Spike was a long, sharp, retractable spike on top of the Tower of Night. The Guardians of Night planned to raise Midnight's Spike during a Great Storm, believing that a sacred lightning bolt passing through the Tower of Night would cure Stone-Sickness and allow them to take over the entire Edge. However, when a lightning bolt did hit Midnight's Spike, it vaporized Orbix Xaxis, killed all the Guardians, and destroyed the Tower of Night.
