Dennis Gordon Patterson (born January 9, 1950 in Peterborough, Ontario) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman. He played 138 NHL games with the Kansas City Scouts and Philadelphia Flyers and also played 23 WHA games with the Edmonton Oilers. He played junior hockey for the Peterborough Petes from 1968 to 1970 and was chosen 34th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft. In all, Patterson played in 138 NHL games and scored 6 goals and 22 assists. In the WHA he scored 2 assists in 23 games. Dennis is currently a scout with the Philadelphia Flyers.
