Hornman was a far bomb dropped into the New Tower of Conquest by Marcos Halfsmith on CC: 36/7/5,108 at the end of the 2nd Great War. Halfsmith dropped the bomb on the orders of Duke Groll Halfsmith, who secretly led the Mother's Sons, a revolutionary group which had taken control of the Sefenlands after the assassination of the Mother on Earth of the Red Wheelhouse by Sir Ross Fourthwalk. Fourthwalk had himself been ordered to assassinate the Mother by Billow's Tower in order to frame Garlenn. Groll was one of the lords who voted for this, and the only one aware of far bombs' existence.

  • Hornman was a far bomb dropped into the New Tower of Conquest by Marcos Halfsmith on CC: 36/7/5,108 at the end of the 2nd Great War. Far bombs were first developed in Efe, one of the three cities of North Ayes, originally under the name Dog Bomb. The plans for the Dog Bomb were halted by God King Afobe Lak II but eventually fell into the hands of Groll Halfsmith through a learned named Jahartos (Topaz). Jahartos had originally served under God King of the Laughing Bay Roddock Rooden, but only as a means of reaching Dai Lo's Library beneath Witewood in Kneypenn. Dai Lo's Library housed many a strange document, including Farson the Fogman's ancient notes, which formed the basis for the creation of a far bomb. His notes were themselves based off of even more ancient notes found in Mohadexes' Manual - notably written in the same town Marcos was from, Dexes. Marcos took off in his fighter plane from Esaiarez, another small town in the Sefenlands. He ruined it, and Dexes' reputations.
