Early history
Dwayne Metaxas was once an incredibly smart young man who went to Yale. However he was power hungry and was sociopathic and violently psychotic. After leaving Yale he became a scientist and began working in secret on a gas that could melt away at a person's skin, leaving nothing but a skeleton. However his plan was discovered by a colleague and he threatened to tell the police about his psychotic plans. He met his end however when Dwayne used a special gun that contained the gas to coat the other scientist in it. What he didn't realise however was that the security camera in the lab had caught the events. The Offbeats were called in to stop him. He fought back however, almost killing Bonzai Bill. Unfortunately for him he was stopped when Demona discovered that the gas was flammable and used it to blow up the tanks that contained the gas and Dwayne was caught in the explosion and presumed dead.
Supervillian
However Dwayne had not died. The gas began eating away at his body, but due to having made a repellant in case of an emergency Dwayne managed to spray his body with it. However rather than stop the necrotic gasses it only slowed it down. In an act of desperation Dwayne began building a container that could stop him from rotting by filling it with the liquid form of the repellant. Unfortunately for him by the time he had finished all that was left of him was his skull, both eyeballs, his tongue, his vocal chords and his brain. Horrified by all that was left of him he began building an exosuit to destroy his enemies. When it was finished he added storage space for the gas so that the suit could fire it from the palms of its hands. From that day forward he became Skullex, enemy of the Offbeats!
