- "Conga" is a hit song by the Miami Sound Machine, featuring Gloria Estefan, released on their 1985 album Primitive Love. In Season 23 of Sesame Street, Estefan appeared in an insert performing the song. The scene starts out quiet, with the cast lounging around mundanely. Estefan shows up, singing the song and encouraging everyone to dance along (complete with a Muppet conga line). As the song fades out, she departs and the street returns to its previous state.
- Conga is a giant ape and the first boss in Banjo Kazooie. Banjo and Kazooie first encountered and fought Conga while they were exploring Mumbo's Mountain.
- Conga was invented by Martin Franke in 1995 while he was a student of design in Germany and was described in his Diplom thesis in 1996. At this time the game was still called "Celim" and one variation was played on a 8x8 grid. A commercial set was published in 1998 by "Das Spiel Hamburg". Franke lives in Dortmund, Germany. Conga is a two-dimensional sowing game, which combines the move characteristics of mancala games with the goal of Four-in-a-Row. The game suffers under a strong first move advantage. A similar looking game is Due conGa by Frank Stark (2005). However, this is not a sowing game.

- Conga ist ein großer Gorilla und ist im Spiel Banjo-Kazooie in Mumbo's Mountain zu finden. Er verteidigt sich auf seinem Baum, in dem er Orangen auf Banjo wirft. Rundherum um diesem Baum sind Orangen-Felder auf dem Boden aufgezeichnet, die Conga treffen sollte. Besiegen kann man ihn, indem der Spieler auf die gegenüber liegende Klippe geht und von dort aus mit den Blauen Eiern beschießt. Auf diese Klippe kommt Banjo erst, wenn er dem kleinen Affen Chimpy eine Orange gibt, dann geht er von einem Baumstamm herunter, der dadurch höher wird und Banjo kann nun auf diese Klippe hinauf. Die Orange bekommt Banjo, indem er auf den Baum von Conga klettert und sich eine Orange holt. Conga tritt auch in Banjo-Tooie auf und zwar im Hexhexpark, wo er im Zelt von Herr Flicken Eintrittskarten kassiert. Ba
