Synopsis
  • After several days of a violent flood, Bob Dickering and his girlfriend, Thelma Gordon, find refuge in an old church where several others have gathered too. Believing they are about to die, the others begin to confess their sins, but only the Hangman knows who will truly meet their maker.
  • A nephew wants to inherit his aunt and uncles wealth, and is willing to kill for it.
  • A hospital becomes the hideout for crime boss Killer Kane, and Dr. Walter Anthony thinks their should be a "pay-off" for helping in his escape.
  • Hank Heersatyer, the crooner, is kidnapped, and Dusty and Roy come to his rescue.
  • Professor Markov opens a Crime School for thugs, and the Black Hood gets a quick education and is sent to the corner.
Notes
  • * The cover idea, with the hero pledging an oath, was used again by Archie Comics in 1959, but it was the the Fly making his pledge.
quotation
  • How can people be so bestial and hypocritical? Swearing to do right and then turn around and become worse than ever? Sometimes I feel like I'm losing faith in human nature!
