While sleeping in their beds one night, Jimmy and Jilly were quickly snatched up by Catalus, Grack and another goblin, before being carried off to Castle Morbidden. On the way, the party made camp on a beach and Catalus convinced the naive cubs that he was not a threat. To appease them, Catalus allowed the foxes to play with his sword, drink lots of "lemonade" (a deep red drink) and stay up as late as they could. He then informed them that they would be playing "hide and seek" with the queen, except that Catalus planned to hide them so well that she could not get to them.

Tails was sent to rescue the cubs by Shaman Warpull, but found himself captured by Catalus after a crash-landing in a Portstable ship. All three foxes were taken to the castle and were ordered to run away. It was only then that the gravity of the situation dawned on Jimmy and Jilly. Although the pair were captured by Vulpecula, they were allowed a second chance and ran to Catalus' hiding place. Unfortunately, he had tricked them and also wanted to kill them. They ran outside with Tails and prepared a flying boat to take them home. Back in the Nameless Zone, they were reunited with their mother and defiantly stated that they were "not babies".
