The Islands is the sixth story theme in LittleBigPlanet (Game). The Creator Curator for this zone is Grandmaster Sensei. In it, you have to defeat The Terrible Oni and The Evil Sumo, with help from the Flame-Throwing Cat and the Swinging Ninjas. This area is based on Traditional Japan.

- Welcome, dear child, and read upon the history of our land and of our culture, for it is now truly yours. May these texts serve as lessons for us all, that we may no longer repeat the mistakes of our ancestors so that your descendants may live in a better future.
- The Islands consist of four separate square areas that can each be transported to by bouncing off of a green bounce icon or by simply jumping. There are two Partial Healths in this level.
- The Islands Battle Team is a battle team of hombis.
- The Islands are a gameplay area in the video game Scarface: The World Is Yours. It features two large main islands (Lobster Cay and Black Sands) as well as many smaller islands. Both Black Sands and and Lobster Cay have a small town, along with another area which is critical to the storyline. Tony first travels to the Islands in Mission 19 to meet "The Sandman", who owns part of the islands, as well as overseeing a coca plantation (located on the Western Shore of Lobster Cay) and a processing lab on Tranquilandia Island (a nod to the Medellin Cartel's lab in Caqueta, Colombia, that was raided in 1984). Later, in Mission 21, Tony sets out to kill Nacho Contreras , who owns/operates an illegal casino out of a grounded and abandoned oil tanker.
