| - The Godfather II is a 2009 video game based on The Godfather Part II, a 1974 crime drama film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and written by Mario Puzo. The game will be published by Electronic Arts and has been confirmed to be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was revealed by Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello at an annual investor's conference that the game would be released in 2009. This is also a sequel to The Godfather: The Game, which was also developed and published by EA in 2006. Many gameplay elements from the original game will return for the sequel, some expanded and improved. The Godfather II will feature "Black Hand 2.0" control scheme where the player can grab, kick, and head butt enemies. In addition to the third-person action gameplay, the game will also feature the "DON'S VIEW," a strategic overview of the game world where the player can order members of the family to expand or protect his territory. The game will take place in the late 1950s over 3 cities: Havana, New York City, and Miami. Aldo Trapani, the player's character in the first game, will make a short appearance in the game as the player character's boss, only for the player to take over his job after Trapani's death. The game will not take place on the flashbacks of Vito Corleones early life in Sicily. It is revealed that Robert Duvall will return to voice Tom Hagen, and Al Pacino will not voice Michael Corleone -- making it the second game he won't appear in.
