| - Very Gnawty is the first boss found in Donkey Kong Country who resembles a giant Gnawty. He is the boss of Kongo Jungle. Very Gnawty can be attacked by Donkey and Diddy by simply jumping on him. He progressively becomes quicker and jumps further after each time Donkey and Diddy jumps on him. Donkey and Diddy must then counter Very Gnawty's attacks and jump on him four more times to defeat Very Gnawty. Very Gnawty has the same appearance as Really Gnawty, except that one is green and the other is brown. This was switched in the Game Boy Advance remake.
- Unter Very Gnawty versteht man einen sehr großen, hellgrünen Gnawty-Biber. Von der Größe her ähnelt er den Riesen-Gnawtys aus Donkey Kong 64.

- Very Gnawty is the first boss in Donkey Kong Country found in Kongo Jungle. He has swapped colors with Really Gnawty in the Game Boy Advance remake with Really Gnawty being green and Very Gnawty himself being red. When the simians enter the battle, they find Very Gnawty jumping and leaping and Donkey and Diddy must jump on him five times to win. After every jump, Very Gnawty progressively jumps faster and longer, making it more harder for the Kongs to defeat Very Gnawty. After five hits, Very Gnawty collapses to the ground and Donkey and Diddy recover one of their Giant Bananas.

- Very Gnawty is the first boss of Donkey Kong Country. He is fought at the end of Kongo Jungle, in the level "Very Gnawty's Lair". Very Gnawty is a larger version of a regular Gnawty, but it differs from the regular Gnawties because it has the ability to jump. In the Super Nintendo Entertainment System addition, he was green, as per the regular Gnawties in that version; however, in its Game Boy Advance remake, it was re-colored red (which was Really Gnawty's color in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System version).
- Being the very first boss of Donkey Kong Country, Very Gnawty does not pose as much of a threat. When the battle starts, players will get back any missing Kongs and Very Gnawty will approach the player with small hops (its only means of movement). Simply jump on its head. The rest of the battle is as easy as that, as it is his only weakness to exploit. After each hit, he looks towards the screen and laugh oddly (in a goofy way to mock the player) and, as the battle goes on, Very Gnawty jumps farther and faster.
