| - Guards lay dead just outside the keep. The captain charges out.
"Quick, they caught us by surprise. We must get inside to the baron."
You, the guard captain and a handful of guards charge through the keep slaughtering any kobolds that stand in the way.
You fought valiantly but in the end the kobolds numbers overwhelmed the keep, killing everyone.
- "Have you completed the tasks I have set you?"
- The guard captain rushes out of the front gates.
"You! Recruit! The coffers are empty and the weapon shelves stand bare. We must obtain more weapons and valuables."
- The shield opens up as you approach it and an elderly man walks out.
"Ah ye must be one o' the baron's men ai? I be Merd, ye can be doing me a favour then while you're out this far. There be some o those damn kobolds with magical abilities. They've been bombarding my shield with their magiks and are slowly weakening it. Kill one o them for me. You'll hae to use magic though."
- The guard captain looks up at you slowly.
"How fairs the attack?"
- The mage is standing just within the energy shield.
"Have ye killed one o' those ugly creatures?"

Once each of those instructions are completed you will be handed a rune from both the blacksmith and mixer. Return them to me and you'll receive further orders. Dismissed."

"Many lost their lives when the war started. Many still do. Small actions may change things, in some cases they do not. This concludes the story of the Baron, his last stand and his inevitable fall."

"Go out and kill 10 of those wee buggers."
