| - Vincent "Vinny" Evans was a boyfriend of Frankie Baldwin's who she had an affair with when she was living in London and sick of the philandering ways of husband, Danny, who was employed by Vinny in his factory, Whitechapel Garments in Chingford. She broke off their relationship as she was ashamed of her actions but when she followed Danny up to Weatherfield after he bought a part-share in Underworld, Vinny followed her up there and begged her to come back to him. The two were interrupted in their discussions inside 7 Coronation Street by a returning Danny. He remained calm and told Frankie that he was going to the Rovers for a pint or three and when he returned, if Frankie was still there it meant she wanted to stay with him. However if he ever saw Vinny again, he would kill him. Frankie was torn between the two men but ultimately decided to stay with Danny although she laid down the law to him about his cheating ways. A couple of weeks later, the Baldwins were surprised to receive a visit from the police who told them that Vinny had been the victim of a vicious assault with a baseball bat and hospitalised two days previously - when Danny had been down in Essex. Frankie was naturally suspicious of Danny but they were shocked a week later to find that Vinny had named the perpetrator as Jamie Baldwin, their eldest son. He was arrested and told his parents he did it because he could see the way in which Vinny (his own godfather) was driving a wedge between them. Danny visited Vinny to ask him to drop the charges. He then showed a seedy side to his nature when he offered to carry out Danny's wishes if he could sleep with Frankie one more time. When this was naturally refused, Danny had another deal - all the profit from the sale of his large house in Chigwell. This was accepted and Frankie was depressed to discover that they were trapped into living in a terraced house in Coronation Street and not in the style to which she was accustomed.
