As of January 2014 the series has been compiled in 10 tankōbon volumes in Japan, and is also being released in English in digital and print volumes by Viz Media, with the first volume, Nisekoi: False Love, Vol. 1 being released January 7, 2014, with the plan to release a volume every two months. The manga inspired a novel series, titled Nisekoi: Urabana, written by Hajime Tanaka and published by Shueisha. There have been two volumes published, on June 4 and December 28, 2013. An anime adaptation produced by Shaft and directed by Akiyuki Shinbo began airing from January 11, 2014.
