- Bud Abbott was a 20th century American actor, producer, and comedian. Abbott and his partner Lou Costello starred in the movie Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. Trip Tucker wanted to project this film during movie night aboard Enterprise in January of 2153. Tucker stated he might show this film along with "the three greatest horror movies ever made": Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, and Son of Frankenstein. (ENT: "Horizon")
- At Lou Costello's insistence, the monies earned from their comedy act were split 60/40, favoring Abbott. Costello's reasoning was, "Comics are a dime a dozen. Good straight men are hard to find." Abbott appeared as a special guest (not a panelist) on an episode of the NBC daytime game show It Takes Two, hosted by Vin Scully (sometime in 1969 or 1970), reminiscing about his career with Lou Costello.
- Bud Abbott (2 October 1895 – 24 April 1974) was a 20th century entertainer known for his comedic partnership with Lou Costello. A week before Benny Russell and his classmates visited the 1939 New York World's Fair in 1940, Abbott and Costello had performed at the fair's main pavilion, as had the Marx Brothers. (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars) Charles Tucker III was a fan of the Abbott and Costello film Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. (ENT episode: "Horizon")
