Valek would soon be dubbed Darth Viathan although he was considered little more than a pawn by Kun at that early state until Darth Abadeon appeared and was asked to duel Viathan but not to kill him, Abadeon did as he was told but before he could disobey Kun and go ahead with a killing blow he noticed and recognized through Viathan's damaged armor the symbol of the Typhojem of War causing him to halt his finishing attack. Due to the close bond foretold between War and Death, Viathan soon found himself partnered with Abadeon upon the Rage-class Imperial interceptor Abyss and sent around the Galaxy to deal with the Rebels by taking charge of Imperial Forces, distracting Palpatine while Kun and Vader made their plans.
