Founded in 4,096 BBY, the school remained open until 1,083 ABY, when other schools surpassed its academics. Nufae was the required uniform top, accompanied by a Jalappse on the bottom. Uniform Controversy The school was often criticized for its suggestive choice in uniform. Nandatiin Senator Jeppana Evda argued against the school during the Clone Wars, saying: "The Skyline Academy's uniform attire is a disgrace to many peoples across the galaxy, including my own. The exposure of the male midriff is forbidden in my culture, as well as some others. Although many young male humans and Twi'leks are ecstatic to reveal their flabby stomachs, others may not be. Why oppose the minorities?" Other Senators, such as Padmé Amidala, took the middle ground in the matter. Padmé Amidala said: "The Skyline Academy's choice of uniform, although controversial, is not intended to offend or to 'weed' out the Nandatiin people. The Skyline Academy has, for millennia, maintained a tradition of navel-baring as a method of respect for mystic predecessors."
