  • Buriburizaemon (ぶりぶりざえもん), Big-a-zoid in the Vitello and Phuuz dubs and Brave Pig in the LUK Internacional dub, is a cowardly talking pig who is featured in some of the episodes and chapters set in ancient Japan. Buriburizaemon is a product of Shin-chan's imagination, but is treated as an actual character. He is a unique kind of hero who'll come running when someone calls for his help, but immediately defect to the other side if he's outnumbered, and then ask you for a $10 million "rescue fee" (he takes loans).

Born from a scribble in an episode from 1992, Buriburizaemon made a few cameo appearances in the first few years, and soon became a regular on the show. In 1994 he got the first in a series of his own special episodes called "The Adventures of Buriburizaemon", which feature him not-quite-rescuing damsels in distress in samurai movie scenarios. He was even the star of that year's yearly Shin-chan movie. Shin-chan wrote a book called "The Adventures of Buriburizaemon" that he wanted to sell in the Kasukabe Bookstore, but without success. Part of the character's appeal was that he was voiced by Kaneto Shiozawa, whose distinct sultry loverboy voice made for a hilarious contrast with this tiny craven pig character. When Shiozawa passed away in 2000, such was the respect in which he was held, and the attachment to the character, that rather than replace him with another voice actor, or bury Buriburizaemon forever, they chose to make Buriburizaemon a silent character from that point forward. He did reappear as "The Legendary IMAGIN" in the Kamen Rider Den-O + Shin-O special crossover episode that aired in 2007. His first speaking part since 2000 was in 2010 when he appears in the alternate reality SHIN-MEN episodes as a palette-swapped cameo group of 5 evil clones called TON-MEN. On May 13, 2016 he returned permanently with a new voice actor, Hiroshi Kamiya, from episode 894-2 "The Adventures of Buriburizaemon: The Revival Chapter" (ぶりぶりざえもんの冒険 覚醒編) on.
