| - Elected to Parliament in 3112, Ken Harradine quickly proved to be a strong force within the Free Democrats. Esabelle de Pourbaix quickly named him Minister of Internal Affairs. He served in that position from 3113 until 3119. Following de Pourbaix's resignation as leader, Sebastian Burroughs appointed Harradine to the Deputy Leadership in addition to his work as Minister of Internal Affairs. During the 3117 leadership campaign, many speculated that Harradine would challenge Burroughs for the leadership. Ultimately he decided against running and quietly supported Terry Knight. Knight came in third place and Burroughs was narrowly reelected. Disappointed with the result, Burroughs resigned the leadership and Harradine became interim leader. Despite being a forceful leader, Harradine was challenged by Fred Iler for the leadership. Iler won the leadership due to the election being held by the party caucus. Polls had suggested that had the election been decided by the party membership Harradine would have narrowly won. Soon after his defeat, Harradine resigned from the cabinet but decided to seek reelection to Parliament. Pundits were shocked when Harradine was narrowly defeated in his bid for reelection. What made his defeat more surprising was the fact that his wife was elected to Parliament in a neighboring constituency. She served until her death in 3124 at the age of 58. All three of Harradine's children became active in politics. Rhys, Dane, and Jocelyn were all elected to Parliament in 3124. Rhys served until 3159 when he died at the age of 68. Dane served until 3127 when he died at the age of 34 following a massive cerebral hemorrhage. Jocelyn served in Parliament for a decade before deciding to promote the life of her father across the country. She died in 3160 at the age of 64.
