Brenda, a rich housewife, enjoys her luxurious lifestyle, made possible by her husband Roger's income. Tragically, Roger has a heart attack on their tennis court and dies. Because Roger had no life insurance, Brenda is left with all of Roger's debts, but no way to pay them. After only a month, Brenda and her two children have lost their home and are living on the streets. At the end of the movie, the voice-over narrator says that the real Brenda ended up at Harvard Medical School -- as a cadaver.
