| - -- 21:15, September 21, 2016 (UTC) The past few months have been fairly quiet on the Kingdom Hearts front, with little notable news to quench the ever-present thirst of the fanbase. However, sparse as it has been, the news that has come out has been interesting enough! With this in mind, how about we dive straight in to this edition of Jiminy's Journal? (Please note that we do not claim to be the real thing by any means!) Prepare to sate your appetite with some juicy articles and news from The Keyhole itself! File:Play Arts KHIII Sora.png What better way to kick off this latest piece than with some news from Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ! Since our last update, there have been a grand total of 100 new story quests added to the game, bringing the number of playable story quests to 450. These quests begin to delve deeper into the secrets of the Foretellers and the Book of Prophecies. For the first time, we also meet Ephemer, not to be confused with Ephemera as he was previously known by the fanbase. In fact, many fans were disappointed by the name change, arguing that the original name rolled off the tongue better and seemed more fitting for the character. Still, Ephemer he remains, and players of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ have been enjoying the challenges that the most recent quests have been presenting! In addition to Ephemer, Foreteller Ava and Chirithy become more prominent in the storyline! You can read about each separate release of new quests at these four separate links. Moving on from Unchained χ, it has been announced that multiple new Play Arts Kai figures are set to be released in the new year. These include Sora in his snazzy Kingdom Hearts III outfit, as well as Roxas in his Organization XIII attire holding both Oathkeeper and Oblivion. Alongside these Play Arts Kai figures, at the San Diego Comic Con, we were also able to lay eyes upon new Static Arts Figures, including Chirithy, Shadow, and Meow Wow! For more information, as well as the chance to view some images of the new figures, we recommend you travel to both these links! A small sidenote in this edition is the newest album release for Utada Hikaru! The popular singer of both Simple and Clean and Sanctuary has returned after a hiatus, with her album entitled, Fantôme releasing on the 28th September! We are excited to see Utada back on the music scene again after so long! File:KHUX 1st Anniversary 01.png No sooner had we finished discussing it than we are jumping straight back to Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ! Some exciting announcements have been made recently which will certainly excite players of the game! The promise of multiplayer modes and new worlds, including a previously unseen Disney world are all too good to be true! Perhaps the Keyblade War really is drawing near after all! You can read more about the news here! Further news about this addition has been quoted for early 2017, as stated in this article. File:Japanese Cover Art KH2.8.png For the first anniversary of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, we were treated to some artwork drawn by Tetsuya Nomura himself! The artwork features Ephemer, Skuld, and Ventus standing alongside two unknown characters. The fanbase was curious about the addition of Ventus to the artwork, and numerous theories have sprung up to explain his involvement with the Kingdom Hearts χ characters! We wonder what Tetsuya Nomura will come up with for his next piece of artwork! ...and now for the piece of news that has caused the entire Kingdom Hearts fanbase to erupt with excitement! I am of course referring to the latest trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue! With extraordinary new gameplay from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD and visually stunning cutscenes from both aforementioned games as well as Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, many fans sat with open mouths attempting to take in the breathless new footage for the game, now officially scheduled for release in Japan on 12th January, 2017 and in the rest of the world on 24th January, 2017! That's before we even begin to mention the fresh, Ray of Hope remix of Utada Hikaru's Simple and Clean! It would be no understatement to say that Square Enix have set expectations high for this next release! However, rather than listen to me babble on about how amazing the trailer was, why don't you watch it yourself? Check out the video below, and this link for more information! An image of the boxart for the Japanese version of the game can be viewed on the right! What more fitting way to end this Jiminy's Journal update than with news from our very own corner of the world, The Keyhole! Editing of late has been very much focused on the mass of images that call The Keyhole their home! We have been busying away renaming incorrectly named images, as well as continuing our purge of all things JPG! Fresh off the press are two staff promotions, which have signalled the end of an era for this wiki, and the start of a new one! Aixon (Yes, that is me.) has been promoted to administrator status, and given all the extra responsibilities which that role entails, and Draaek, our resident dragon, has been promoted to moderator, allowing her more freedom to help the wiki in the ways which she does best! Congratulations to the both of them, and the wiki as a whole wishes them the best in their future ventures on The Keyhole! So, that wasn't quite as short and brief as originally thought! However, that is by no means a bad thing! The more exciting news, the better, as far as we are concerned! We hope you enjoyed this update, and look forward to presenting you with our next one! In the meantime, do take a look at our Twitter page, our Tumblr wall and make sure to vote in Draaek's new arena! Until next time, remember, your friends can be your power if you let them!
