So I'm fully expecting this to get shot down quickly, but I figured what the hey. Anyway, I was thinking about this new project of labelling everything by era, and the fact that there are four eras in 40 years, and then the other apx 5 billion years (and beyond) get three. That seems a bit unbalanced. So I was thinking, maybe we could break down the Old Republic era into a few others (i.e. Great Hyperspace War Era, Old Sith Wars Era, New Sith Wars Era, etc), just to clean house a little bit. We could slap them with conjecture tags so everyone is clear they are wikipedia housekeeping devices (or make a new tag stating such), so there is no confusion. Pretty much, we already have something similar in the Pre-Republic Era, which I know is hotly contested, but I support it. Lonnyd 07:42, 21 Ap

Lonnyd 07:42, 21 April 2006 (UTC) * The main problem I see is that there are no canonical icons for these conjectural eras. - Sikon [Talk] 09:26, 21 April 2006 (UTC) * No thanks. Let's stick to the canonical publishing eras and not go off into the fanon-blue yonder. QuentinGeorge 09:40, 21 April 2006 (UTC) * I see your point, but I would argue that eras represent publishing density: there is roughly the same amount of actually published material in each era.--The Erl of the Forum:SH Archive/Eras proposal talk What I do 15:29, 21 April 2006 (UTC) So how are you going to re-catorgorize the events into those eras of yours? One way the books do it are Sith Era, Old Republic Era,Galactic Civil War Era/Clone Wars Era, Rise of the Empire, Empire Era/Rebellion Era, New RepublicYuuzahn Vong Wars Era, New Jedi Order, and then add the last of the eras by what they have already which are lengency and Infinities era. What do you think about that.
