Star Wars Episode IV: A New Beginning is a cancelled Star Wars fan fiction novel that was partially written by Brandon Rhea in 2006. It was the earliest work in what would become known as the Alternative Star Wars Saga. Unlike later incarnations of the Alternative Saga, A New Beginning was only a partial reboot of the canon saga. The idea behind A New Beginning was to write a new Episode IV, as if the prequel trilogy had been created first.
