Dauncey de Mayne was the son of Long Patrol members Ferdimond de Mayne and Kersey. He was named for Kersey's brother Dauncey, who was killed by a flight of arrows in an ambush led by Gulo the Savage. He is mentioned at the end of Rakkety Tam by Melanda MacBurl.
