- Simon and Theodore peak out for a record folder offering to help catch the piggy-bank thief. Alvin, true to himself, is watching television unwilling to help. His brothers grab him and carry him into the room. The boys join ALF and Garfield in the hallway where they hear the bank being broken. After in Michael's room, they hide under the bed as they watch him remove the money from his little sister's bank. His sister, Corey, confronts him during which he slides a box under his bed. Simon deduces from the smell that the box contains marijuana, "an unlawful substance used to experience artificial highs." Alvin convinces everyone that Michael needs their help.
- The special was relentlessly promoted in the days leading up to the simulcast. Interestingly, the anti-drug angle was underplayed in these commercials. Instead, the ads pushed the insane crossover among the various "All Stars", leading many kids to be filled with endless excitement that was only going to let them down. Admittedly, the fact that The Smurfs, Muppet Babies and DuckTales characters were going to be mixing it up together was truly life-changing for pre-teens. Frankly, whether the intended anti-drug message got through is a good question...
