- Tug of War was one of the Trial events that featured during the second series of Robot Wars. The contestants would be placed onto a long raised plinth, chained to a House Robot (Dead Metal in Heat B and Matilda in Heat J) and would have to resist the House Robots' attempts to pull them into the pit, located between the contestant and the House Robot. Each robot would be given 30 seconds to survive and the contestant that lasted the least amount of time would be eliminated from the competition.

Whilst most robots qualified by holding on, Chaos was able to win by pulling Dead Metal straight off the platform and into the pit, the only robot to do so.
