Fernand Goux (31 December 1899 –) is, at age 108, the last identified World War I veteran living in France. He lives in the Paris region. He signed up for service on 19 April 1918, and served behind the front lines until 4 November, when he ws sent to the front for the last week of the war. Despite the fact he was a French soldier on the front, the French government does not recognize him as an official poilu as he fought less than the official three months needed.
