Stan's Empire evolved from the Vast Empire; specifically, the Vast Empire was renamed Stan's Empire when he was proclaimed Emperor in 138 ABY. While Stan's Empire did have more territory from 139 ABY to 159 ABY, under various Regents like Thrawn and Pellaeon's descendants, the core territory consisted of the planets listed below in the astrography section. During this time, Stan's Empire co-existed peacefully with the Galactic Alliance as part of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate. Stan's Empire merged with the Fel Empire-in-exile to restore the strength of the Galactic Empire. In 166 ABY, Emperor Palestine defeated Stan in a duel and took over his Empire. He foolishly took the Empire to war with the Yeda New Republic, ruining the twenty years of peace that Stan had established. Emperor Palestine was defeated in 167 ABY, and he fled with his forces, which included Stan, to the Deep Core. Palestine's renewed offensive in 172 ABY was no more successful than his 1st offensive of five years earlier. Stan killed Emperor Palestine in a duel and reclaimed his Empire. His first act was to re-establish a peace treaty with the Yeda New Republic. The two governments worked together to banish Palestine's forces to the Unknown Regions. Then Stan was proclaimed Galactic Emperor on Coruscant, and the slow process of merging his Empire with the Galactic Republic Union began. Stan's Empire existed on a more galactic scale from 172 ABY to 181 ABY, comparable to the size of Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire. This was accomplished through a merger with the Galactic Republic Union, which had co-existed peacefully with Stan's Empire since 138 ABY. The core territory of Stan's Empire became part of other governments after 181 ABY: Lok's Galactic Republic, the People's Galactic Alliance, and the New Order Coalition among them.
