| - As baseball evolved from the British sport of rounders, volleyball developed from the backyard pastime of catch—notably, the perverse variety of catch that kid brothers play with one another, throwing a ball to deliberately make your brother drop it. It is a tenet of having a kid brother to arrange one's entire life so that everything will seem to be his fault. Likewise, in volleyball, the goal is not so much to do good things, but to do bad things that make your opponent seem worse.

- Host rolls the dice, and whoevers number is rolled has to race to the mat that corresponds with their seat. First person to get to the mat wins their team 1 point. This repeats till 1 team has a certain amount of points. At this time the winning team splits up to each side of the playing field, so each team has 3 members. Then gameplay resumes as normal and the team with the certain amount of points wins. After the other team exits, the 3 people on the remaining team roll a dice. User with the lowest number has to exit the field. Then the last two competitors face off, and the person with the certain amount of points needed wins.
- The Volleyball is an item that Henry Townshend must pick up in Silent Hill 4: The Room and is part of the Four Reminiscences Puzzle. Henry can find the ball on the ground near the water tower during his second visit to the Building World. - Volleyball at the Olympics has been part of the Summer Olympics program for both men and women consistently since 1964. Brazil, United States, and Russia, considered by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) as the inheritor of the records of the former Soviet Union are the only teams to win multiple gold medals at the men's tournament since its introduction. The remaining four editions of the Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament were won each by a different country including Japan, Poland, Netherlands and Yugoslavia.
