The following images are based on a written description by W/O II Arthur in the article "South African Army Ranks & Insignia" published in Scientia Militaria, South African Journal of Military Studies, Volume 20, number 2 (1990). No enlisted insignias are described for the 1940-41 period nor for the period afterward but based on the fact that officer wore normal army insignias, so might have the enlisted woman at least post 1941.
