- Gatherer is a tier one perk in World of War: Revenge. It allows the player to resupply their loadout.
- The Gatherer is one of the Norse Villager units in Age of Mythology. Unlike Egyptian Laborers and Greek Villagers, Norse Gatherers cannot build structures; instead Norse infantry units (including the Hersir) do this. Gatherers can be instantly converted into Ulfsarks for the full price of a new Ulfsark. However, this wastes the resources spent on training the gatherer, so it is usually better to train Ulfsarks from the Longhouse or the Town Center, unless there is a dire need.
- Gatherer is an AddOn that allows players to track and record various items in order to aid them.

- A Gatherer was an operative of the Bureau of Ships and Services tasked with tracking down individuals and their starships who sought to circumvent BoSS's data-collection efforts. They wore no uniform, and were from many different alien species. They were trained in computer skills and espionage, and some combat skills although they only used them in self-defense.
- Gatherers are Forerunner machines whose primary function is to gather specimens of different species and to transport them for study and cataloging. So far, these machines have only been observed operating from Line Installation 1-4 on an Unidentified moon.
- The Servant Grunts are the weaker of the two Gatherers, but make up for it by being more common than Brutes.
- The Gatherer was a rank that was the most powerful position in the Company, after the Collector. During the Fourth Doctor's visit to Megropolis One on Pluto, the Gatherer was Hade. Hade's predecessor was Morton. (TV: The Sun Makers) File:TitleStub.png
- To become a Gatherer, a Landwalker must pass two tests, depicted on the walls of the Landwalker's Bubble. The first test is that of being able to breather underwater, accomplished by the placing of a breathing polyp in the throat. The second test is the ability to understand the strange tongue of the Maerum, accomplished by the mixing of a black pearl, Tanyenn, and some blood, which creates a golden pearl that has to be swallowed by the Landwalker. The training of a Gatherer takes "six cold oceans", or six years.
- Gatherers are a type of Spectre found in Orpheus. Unusual in both appearance and function, a Gatherer's primary job is to take the empty bodies of skimmers and sleepers while they are projecting. Once a Gatherer has stolen a body, their job is to keep that body safe; they feed it with Vitality and gauze, protect it against foes, and can even move with the body through objects as if the body was a spirit. It is unknown where Gatherers take the bodies, or for what purpose they take them.

- In the 2260s, generations of brutal clan warfare on Acamar III was coming to an end. However, a number of individuals refused to accept the nascent peace and left the planet, becoming the Gatherers. Over the next century, the Acamarian government made several unsuccessful attempts to bring the Gatherers back into the fold, including in 2348. Two Gatherers were crewmembers of Ah-Kel and Ro-Kel's Miradorn raider, (DS9: "Vortex")
