The series follows an millennium bug where a fictional El Kadsre president, who is the sibling of Michael Vlokozu, conquers almost all the world and a small group of the resistance to the "new Imperialism" have to fight against the tyranny of the Vlokozu empire.

- Y2K is one of the most feared creatures in the cosmos...a mime. Forced to rely on other methods of communication after his vocalizer crashed in the big computer bug of Y2K, he chose the ancient artistry of mime to convey his thoughts. Not your average Junkion, Y2K has three modes. Fitted with the normal guises of robot and Junkcycle, he also has the ability to become a small data terminal, to aid in his historical research. In robot mode he is armed with compressed air launchers and smoke grenades. In vehicle mode he is able to reach speeds of 120 mph and is fitted with a side-mounted laser turret. Mostly scatter-brained, Y2K often forgets more than he records about history.
- Dilbert is assigned the task of making an ancient mainframe called "Black Betty" Y2K compatible. He finds Wally is his only hope as he is the only one who knows where it is and can understand the language it was programmed in: COBOL.
- The Y2K event feared by many conspiracy theorists actually occurs, as electronics all around the world fail for mysterious reasons. It is still unknown how this massive shutdown happened, but it happened, and that is all the inhabitants of this timeline think matters.
- Y2K was a horrific disaster caused by computers thinking that the rest of the world had joined the Middle East in reverting back to the eleventh century A.D. when Dick Clark pronounced the new year to be 2000. Airplanes fell out of the sky, the banking system crashed, and power grids caught on fire from coast to coast. Fortunately, Dr. Stephen Colbert was safely tucked away in his underground bunker and avoided harm. Guess who won the presidency?

John McCain (R-AZ) declared that the Democrat Party and the GOP should come together to draft a bipartisan resolution demanding action to prevent the impending threat of Y2.001K. William Bradley (D-NJ) stated that he believed that a basketball game should be played amongst the senators and the losing team would be forced to clean up the mess. Al Gore (D-TN) announced his plans to outlaw cars to stop global warming, which had nothing to do with Y2K at all; it has been widely speculated that this waffling cost him the election. George W. Bush (R-TX) gave an impassioned speech calling for a troop surge so that America could fight faulty computer programming over there so that we wouldn't have to fight it here. Guess who won the presidency?
