The control over one's energy is instead replaced and mimicked by the control of a single element, which is given at birth, and can be influenced by heritage, but it doesn't have to be. Breaking one's internal element, as well with adding, or taking away one is also possible. If one acquires the power of a tree (known as a Staff), he or she can add the element to themselves

Breaking one's internal element, as well with adding, or taking away one is also possible. If one acquires the power of a tree (known as a Staff), he or she can add the element to themselves by jabbing it into their stomachs. The only way to break one's internal element is to gather all eight staffs and infuse his or her body with all eight elements, which then results in the total cancelation of all the elements and thus destroy the internal element. Then, the energy within the organism will no longer be blocked and will be available for use whether it be Chi or Astra.
