He was raised in a Catholic environment, which would later influence his political stances. After being elected head of the Cheyenneite branch of the Progressive Party in 1992, he ran unsuccessfully for Representative from Laramie County in 2000. He tried running for Representative again in 2004; this time, he was sworn into office by defeating Conservative candidate and incumbent Representative Jonas Longfellow, who would also be his opponent in the next election. After being re-elected in 2008, Biedrzycki stated that he would not seek a third term. As his term as Representative was about to expire, he was chosen by Bill Stanmourne as the Vice Presidential candidate for the Progressive Party in 2012 and in 2016.
