The Bloodthirsty status is a status in newer Mario RPGs that will first appear in Super Mario RPG: An Error in DIY. It consists of the victim randomly attacking the closest unit, be it an ally or enemy, constantly. The bloodthirsty unit will also have quintuple (5x) Attack, double Speed, and with such high stats will probably kill (not defeat, KILL) the target. The homicidal subject will then eat the target if killed, healing HP and sometimes FP. One thing noticeable is the blood and gore in a cut animation: There's all the more blood and gore when a Bloodthirsty unit attacks.
