  • Brockley is a suburb in the southern area of the London Borough of Lewisham. It is bordered by Nunhead to the west, New Cross Gate and New Cross to the north, and Catford to the east and the south. The area is mostly dominated by Hilly Fields park and the Brockley and Ladywell Cemeteries. The area is also dominated by a number of council housing estates under the administration of Lewisham Borough Council. The largest of the estates in Brockley is the Honor Oak Estate in the west, bordering Nunhead. Honor Oak is an interwar estate, built in 1933 and housing over 2,000 people. In the central area of Brockley is the Wickham Estate, and to the southeast are the Foxborough Gardens and Dressington Avenue estates, built in the 1980s.
