The Warhawk Starbomber is an older design by the Subpro Corporation released in the decades of turmoil surrounding the Clone Wars. It is a massive, lumbering craft heavily armored and shielded that is almost as maneuverable as a Tie Fighter. The main pride of the Warhawk is its extensive armament. It sports four forward facing medium laser cannons, which when the Warhawk was released, were easily capable of shredding through any oncoming interceptors. But perhaps its most unique features are its twelve single-shot warhead launchers, all located underneath the main fuselage of the craft. In the atmosphere, these can be used as basic bomb bays, but they can fit nearly every type of warhead, from space bombs to concussion missiles. This tends to make Warhawks the heavy firepower of many crimi

abstract
  • The Warhawk Starbomber is an older design by the Subpro Corporation released in the decades of turmoil surrounding the Clone Wars. This tends to make Warhawks the heavy firepower of many criminal elements in space, and they are popular with pirate groups because it can hold a wide variety of warheads for any situation they may encounter. This same feature often makes them feared because of their unpredictably. For example, a Warhawk carrying 12 space bombs is a death sentence for many small corvettes, but makes it nearly useless against most starfighters. Conversely, a Warhawk equipped with 12 cluster missiles is not likely to heavily damage any large vessel, but can quite easily destroy clusters of smaller starfighters like the Vulture Drones originally used by the Trade Federation. Subpro continues to produce these fighters in limited quanities, but has had difficulty selling them to legitimate authorities, who often prefer more "advanced" craft. They do, however, have a high resale value.
