Hyennish, like its neighbour Yaziel, is a small fortified, coastal village in southwest Khul. Prior to the Spawning of Chaos in Khul, which marked the end of Old Time, Hyennish was a flourishing trading town under the protection of the nearby city Zagoula, part of the kingdom of Klarash (making Hyennish the southern-most outpost of that vast kingdom). But with the fall of that city, Hyennish was overwhelmed by the forces of Chaos and most of the town was destroyed or abandoned. With the destruction of Zagoula, Hyennish (and Yaziel), reduced in size, became isolated from the civilised lands to the north. It is possible that Hyennish is located in the area known as Transoxalia.
